Holme Pierrepont Hall dates back to Tudor times.

It was a magical day at the enchanting Holme Pierrepont Hall last August when Edward and Corinne tied the knot. I had been very fortunate to have met the lovely couple at Harlaxton Manor earlier in the year, and I was delighted when they decided that my magic should be part of their big day.

Close-up ‘mix-and-mingle’ magic was provided during drinks reception period, and it was a tremendous pleasure to entertain such a wonderful group of guests. I delivered an extensive repertoire of card routines, classic illusions, mind-reading demonstrations and parlour effects both within the hall and around the beautiful walled garden outside.

As well as entertaining the adults on a wedding day, I will always include the younger guests too. Child-friendly magic and balloon modelling was provided during photograph time.

At larger weddings I may perform during both day reception and evening reception (a split performance of wedding magic) and this is what Corinne and Edward requested I do. This ensures that both day and evening guests can enjoy the performance and helps to keep the day flowing; and friends and family entertained.

It is vital that all age groups are included on such an important occasion. Child-friendly magic can be delivered, and David Fox is also a highly accomplished balloon modeller and sculptor. This colourful and vibrant art-form is always a winner on a wedding day!
