I was delighted when Valentine’s partner Jacqueline contacted me to arrange some entertainment for his very special birthday bash in Burton Upon Trent. The venue was the fantastic Dial Restaurant on Station Street, and family and friends travelled from far and wide to share the occasion.

It was a pleasure to customise magic for Valentine’s party!

The magic was to be a surprise and Jacqueline very kindly let me know about Valentine’s hobbies and interests beforehand. It is always a tremendous pleasure to customise some of my effects to suit the celebration. Valentine is a big Bob Marley fan and also enjoys gardening too. It was a fantastic evening and Valentine’s friends and family were a joy to entertain. Well done to Jacqueline in organising such a memorable party for everyone, and special thanks must go to all the staff at The Dial Restaurant for being so kind and helpful. I also enjoyed a slice of Valentine’s delicious birthday cake which was made by Jacqueline’s daughter Latia – that was the real magic on the night!

Happy Birthday Rachel!

I was delighted and very flattered when Jamie and Rachel asked me to perform magic at a very important birthday bash in Nottingham recently! The venue was the fantastic Botti Di Mamma in Hockley and it definitely was a memorable and magical occasion.

Rachel’s family and close-friends were not only treated to the exquisite ambience and exceptional cuisine of this first class venue, but the talents of Nottingham musical quartet The Money ensured it truly was a fantastic evening. Jamie has known the band for many years and was delighted that they could be part of such an important event. They are always a massive hit wherever they perform!

It was a privilege to mingle with such a warm and receptive group of people, and I was also delighted to perform a little customised magic for both Rachel and her father Brian. Indeed, it was very kind of Jamie and Rachel to invest their trust in me for such a big night, and I always hope that I can repay this in my performance.

A very important occasion calls for a very talented cameraman, and Will Slater was present in order to expertly capture the proceedings. As you can appreciate from the photographs proudly displayed in this article, Will’s timing, sixth-sense and attention to detail is immaculate.

Overall, the party was a resounding success and friends and family partied well into the small hours! Happy birthday Rachel! And well done to everyone for helping to create such a tremendous occasion – I hope that you and Jamie had a great time in the USA.

James’s Holy Communion Party at Bestwood Lodge

It was a massive privilege to perform magic at Bestwood Lodge for James’s First Holy Communion party. I was delighted when Mark and Lorraine (James’s Mum and Dad) contacted me after having seen a little of my magic several weeks before.

James’s family had travelled from far and wide to share in this once-in-a-lifetime occasion and everyone was in good spirits. It was a real pleasure to entertain everyone in the comfort of the bar area at this beautiful venue, and then continue with some table-side magic during the meal.

I always enjoy performing my parlour show of magic. This is a different style of magic and caters for a larger audience. To have an opportunity to deliver a special show after the meal for James, and his family and friends, was an exceptional experience indeed.

Congratulations to James on your First Holy Communion. And thanks again to Lorraine, Mark and all of the family for being such a fantastic group to entertain. I hope to see you all again in the future!

It was a real pleasure to work alongside the exceptional Joey of Party2Party who enthralled all the children present with his games, magic and fantastic bouncy castle. I was delighted to meet DJ Eddy Lush again at the celebrations.
