It was a tremendous privilege to provide entertainment at the Derby and District Law Society’s Annual Awards Dinner at the fantastic Pride Park Stadium. Indeed, it is always wonderful to perform magic in the exceptional hospitality suites of this fine venue.

I was delighted when Lucy Tissington, the President of Derby and District Law Society, contacted me last year and invited me to deliver close-up magic on this very special evening. It was a tremendous honour to be Lucy and her husband Oliver’s wedding magician at Makeney Hall in 2011; and I was profoundly grateful that they wanted me to be part of another very important red letter day event!

It was magnificent to mingle with such a lovely group of guests throughout drinks reception and during the meal. Everyone was in fine spirits and more than ready for some close-up card manipulation, classic illusions, sleight-of-hand and psychological trickery!

The evening was a tremendous success, and a fine opportunity for Derbyshire’s finest legal professionals to come together and celebrate a year of outstanding achievements and progress. Well done to Lucy, Julia, and all of the team at Derby and District Law Society for organising such a fantastic event, and thank you for inviting me to provide a little magic!
